Overview
Polyimide-coated fiber integrates multiple functions as a medical fiber, dental laser fiber, high temperature resistant fiber, and power delivery fiber. It is used in dental procedures like gum and root canal therapies, as well as industrial applications including high-low temperature sensing, fluorescent thermometry, spectral delivery, and 308nm excimer laser transmission for ELCA.


Polyimide (PI) is a polymer material renowned for its exceptional high-temperature resistance, superior mechanical strength, ductility, and overall outstanding comprehensive performance. As an ideal coating material for high temperature resistant fiber,PI significantly enhances the thermal durability of power delivery fiber. This application prolongs the service life of these fibers in high-temperature environments, such as those found in power generation and transmission systems, while ensuring stable performance. Furthermore, even in extremely low-temperature conditions, PI-coated high temperature resistant fiber maintains excellent mechanical properties without becoming brittle, thereby guaranteeing the integrity and signal reliability of the power delivery fiber  in applications subject to wide thermal cycling.
